TFT Tpping and dogs

I have been visiting an animal rescue center and recently had the opportunity to work with a dog that was traumatized. She was at the center for re-homing and was lying shivering in her basket. She would not move from it and braced her feet against the side so that it was almost impossible to move her.

As she lay trembling, I talked to her and tapped using the trauma algorithm. I next used algorithms for complex trauma, anger and rage. Gradually she became a little more interested and did not tense her body quite as much. I was able to lift her to a sitting position and then, after some more tapping, she stepped out of her bed and came with me for a walk. It had taken about 30 minutes. She was still very nervous, had her tail between her legs and pulled back when she saw another person or dog.

However, she seemed to enjoy the walk!

The next day, I found her—again—in her basket, trembling fearfully. But this time she picked up her head and looked at me, and even wagged her tail a little. It took 5 minutes to get her to step out of her bed and go outside with me. The next time I visited the center, I saw her running in and out of her outside pen and jumping up to greet people!

After that success, the staff asked me to work with another dog—only a few months old and already biting and snapping.

“He’s a challenge,” said the staffer. “Be careful of that one.”

After listening blithely to advice that I’d have to ‘lasso’ him by dropping a loop of lead around his neck, I found the dog cowering in the corner behind his bed.
I sat on the floor and focused my attention on him, using surrogate tapping to calm him. Eventually he got up and walked over to me and sniffed my hand. He went away and came back a few times, and I was gradually able to stroke his head and begin touching the tapping points on his head.

He didn’t make any attempt to growl or bite, and after a short while I was able to tap gently through the sequence and put a collar around his neck. I took him outside, although he was obviously not used to walking on a lead so I carried him some of the way and sat with him, continuing to tap whenever he seemed uneasy.  He yawned the way some people do after a TFT session.

Later, one of the staff tried her own puppy in the dog run with him. And 30 minutes later, she had both puppies on leads on the grass outside the building! —Jo Cooper

Tft and babies

Settling in for the 16-hour flight on my way home from presenting at the Pacific Rim Energy Conference, I had an amusing experience. The huge airliner was filled to capacity, and several families were traveling with infants on board.

When I requested a bulkhead seat so I could stretch out my legs, I had no idea that—during long flights—this section was also used to hang baby beds off the bulkhead.  As a result, I found myself surrounded by infants including an adorable baby boy and his family traveling next to me.

Before the flight, I had noticed the parents in the lobby—playing with their happy infant, while awaiting boarding instructions.  Unfortunately, by the time we boarded, it was 9:30 p.m. and the babies were already tired and stressed. Of course, when the airplane took off, the crying began.

I expected that.

Yet when the plane leveled off, the cries simply escalated. Mothers and fathers took turns walking their babies around. Nothing worked.

Hoping to help, I turned to my seat mates and told them I thought I could calm their infant.  Of course, they didn’t believe me. So I went on to explain I had just come from Singapore, where I was teaching energy therapy, and that I was pretty sure it would work on their son.

By this time, they were willing to try anything (and so, I imagine, were the passengers). Tapping on myself to illustrate, I showed them how to tap out the simple anxiety algorithm (eye, arm, collarbone). They did it twice and the baby calmed down immediately. In fact, he was asleep within minutes. Placed in his hanging bed, he slept almost 12 hours.  And when he awakened, he remained calm for the rest of the flight.

Another parent had been watching and asked me to show him the same tapping sequence. I treated yet another infant with the same result.  Mission accomplished.

TFT-Tapping

Our TFT Foundation board member, Suzanne Connolly and documentary crew Bob Stone and Diana Gross have returned safely from Rwanda, with 27 hours of amazing footage.  They will soon begin the arduous task of translating and editing 27 hours of amazing stories, testimonies, and current life, into a single hour that shares a heartwarming and spectacular story of the healing of a country and its people.

Bob posted a journal with pictures, video and notes to keep us all updated on their trip.  You can see this at:  http://www.trauma2peace.com , but I wanted to share the essence with you here:

“Diana and our interpreters work well together, and after the first two Interviews, I ask Diana if there might be some way to condense the interviews, as each one is taking about 30 minutes, which means it’ll take 15 hours to film everyone.

In the next interview, Diana asks the first question and the woman starts talking and doesn’t stop for a full 20 minutes. I see Prosper reaching his memory capacity – how does one retain the details of a story and then relate it back in another language?  Amazing!

This woman was born in 1957 and tragedy started in her life two years later when her village was burned down – then family was killed, her children killed – on and on.

Stories you can only imagine are told and interpreted – stories of what we might consider deep, dark secrets. I am amazed and deeply touched by these people and their willingness to share.

“Do you have photos?
“Yes”
“Are you willing to share them?”
“Yes.”
“Can we come to your home and film you there?”
“Yes.”

But each story included a statement like; “I never smiled in my life until I was treated with TFT.”

These people all use TFT in their lives on a daily or weekly basis and almost all have been trained as TFT therapists, so they have the tools to help their family, friends and neighbors. What a gift!”

On behalf of the TFT Foundation, I want to thank all of you who have helped make this possible, healing and changing so many lives.  Bob has created a brief video clip of the summary that Prosper Ishimwi gave – a heartfelt statement about his country, his people, and how TFT has changed their lives.  This new video clip is available on our US and UK Foundation web sites:   www.TFTFoundation.org  and www.atftfoundation.org.uk

Please go watch this touching account of a strong, and resilient country – healing themselves with TFT.  They need our help to continue to expand the healing to others in Rwanda and beyond.  Please click on the Donate link to help them share TFT with others.

Joanne Callahan recently had the pleasure of appearing on the UNIVERSAL SPIRITUAL CONNECTION blog talk radio show, where she was asked to explain what TFT is and how it is different from EFT… EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a version that former student Gary Craig created, a one-size fits all version.

In the audio below, Joanne explains how TFT works and how it has spawned so many variations of tapping therapy.

It’s a great discussion on the history of Thought Field Therapy, how it works and what the differences are between TFT and EFT.

Michelle Bruny RN presented Thought Field Therapy to the Caring Advocacy Committee of Nurses at Redlands Community Hospital. I was so impressed with this therapy I wanted to use it while working in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

I was taking care of baby boy Johnson, a micro-premie baby born around 25 weeks gestational age in the NICU. At the time I was taking care of him he was about five weeks passed his due date and was having a hard time nipping his full feedings. I was worried about him because he started showing signs of nipple aversion.

Feeding aversions are sometimes found in babies born premature who are intubated for long periods of time. Baby boy Johnson was intubated for the first several weeks of life and was reintubated a few weeks later. This reintubation delayed normal feeding patterns and he had to wait a longer time to be able to take a bottle. For several weeks feeding progress was slow and required much patience from nursing staff and his parents. The infant would resist taking a nipple and would require gavage feedings because successful bottle feeding did not happen.

After learning about Thought field therapy, I asked Michelle if it could work on a little baby who showed evidence of a feeding aversion. She said definitely and encouraged me to use the trauma algorithm since having a plastic tube in the mouth might have caused the baby to avert to any kind of oral stimulation.

After talking to Michelle, I was able to take care of the baby for the next three days. At the beginning of each feeding I would go through the trauma algorithm and the baby’s face would relax after finishing the sequence. Before the sequence began the baby was very frustrated and appeared very agitated. He cried when the nipple was placed around his mouth.

I did this sequence while he took a few sucks and during this sequence his facial expressions began to relax. As the days went by he would eat more at each feeding and he would rest more time between feedings. At the end of the three days the baby was bottle feeding much better than he had three days prior.

I feel that Thought field therapy was a key component of this child successfully being able to bottle feed and ultimately being discharged home to his mother and father.

I entered the field of energy medicine in 1999 after witnessing the miraculous results and benefits of advanced biofeedback technology through the application of Electro-Dermal Screening (EDS).

In 2005 I moved away from herbs and homeopathic remedies into the world of encoded water and thought that I had discovered the most amazing way to balance the body available on planet earth.

Incorporating Psych-K around this same time gave me another tool to help clients break through limiting beliefs. Shortly after I added Quantum Biofeedback technology that I was introduced to by Masuru Emoto (author of “Messages in Water” featured in the movie “What The Bleep Do We Know”) that took me even deeper down the rabbit hole of energy medicine. Using this device and the Meridian Biofeedback equipment increased my ability to assess the root of client’s health issues and provide solutions to these challenges by giving them water “energetically designed” specific to their problem.

I was convinced that there wasn’t a better way to balance the body than with these modalities, especially the imprinted water which gave immediate relief to a broad range of health challenges which led me to developing my own therapeutic water line called “WAVE Miracle Water”. (W=Water; A=Activated; V=Vibrationally; E=Encoded).

In April 2012 I attended the “Thought Field Therapy Algorithm” course, thanks to John Steuernol, a close friend and fellow practitioner.

I embraced the absolutely amazing realm of TFT. I was sure it couldn’t get any better and then I met Stephen Pollitt from “Source Energy Medicine” (author of “Heal Thyself”) and through his inspired work I learned how to increase “allowance of healing”, remove resistance to healing and increase clients energy levels above a 200 calibration based on David Hawkin’s calibration scale of 0 to 1000 (author of Power Versus Force). Our New Book Is Now Available!

Real People Reveal How Thought Field Therapy® Heals Trauma, Anxiety and Disease.

To all the Thought Field Therapy practitioners around the world who have helped hurting and despairing people recover their lives, this book is dedicated to you. -Roger and Joanne Callahan

For the past 30 years, a simple technique called Thought Field Therapy has been rapidly healing negative emotions such as trauma and anxiety—and even disease—for people who are desperate to regain wellness and normalcy in their lives.

What started as a simple therapeutic treatment to stimulate the body’s own healing systems through the identification of a specific code and then tapping this code on various points of the body—using the same system Chinese acupuncturists do—has become a mainstream therapy accepted by medical doctors, psychologists, alternative healthcare practitioners and even military mental-health personnel.

Thousands of people have recovered rapidly from troublesome disorders like insomnia, gout or tinnitus. Others have eliminated stress, anxiety and phobias such as fear of flying and fear of public speaking—literally within minutes. Still others with life-threatening cancer have completely reversed the disease. Hundreds have regained their lives by curbing addictive urges for nicotine, controlled substances or obsessive behaviors. And those suffering the aftereffects of trauma—warfare, rape, injury or loss—have instantly removed the horrible emotions and feelings tied to that event which previously controlled their lives, sometimes for decades.

But while hundreds of thousands of people worldwide have proven that Thought Field Therapy (or “TFT”) is the most effective tool available for rapidly improving one’s physical and mental health—surprisingly, millions of consumers still suffering from illness, stress, depression and trauma have yet to even hear of it.

That, we believe, is about to change.
