TFT Tpping and dogs

I have been visiting an animal rescue center and recently had the opportunity to work with a dog that was traumatized. She was at the center for re-homing and was lying shivering in her basket. She would not move from it and braced her feet against the side so that it was almost impossible to move her.

As she lay trembling, I talked to her and tapped using the trauma algorithm. I next used algorithms for complex trauma, anger and rage. Gradually she became a little more interested and did not tense her body quite as much. I was able to lift her to a sitting position and then, after some more tapping, she stepped out of her bed and came with me for a walk. It had taken about 30 minutes. She was still very nervous, had her tail between her legs and pulled back when she saw another person or dog.

However, she seemed to enjoy the walk!

The next day, I found her—again—in her basket, trembling fearfully. But this time she picked up her head and looked at me, and even wagged her tail a little. It took 5 minutes to get her to step out of her bed and go outside with me. The next time I visited the center, I saw her running in and out of her outside pen and jumping up to greet people!

After that success, the staff asked me to work with another dog—only a few months old and already biting and snapping.

“He’s a challenge,” said the staffer. “Be careful of that one.”

After listening blithely to advice that I’d have to ‘lasso’ him by dropping a loop of lead around his neck, I found the dog cowering in the corner behind his bed.
I sat on the floor and focused my attention on him, using surrogate tapping to calm him. Eventually he got up and walked over to me and sniffed my hand. He went away and came back a few times, and I was gradually able to stroke his head and begin touching the tapping points on his head.

He didn’t make any attempt to growl or bite, and after a short while I was able to tap gently through the sequence and put a collar around his neck. I took him outside, although he was obviously not used to walking on a lead so I carried him some of the way and sat with him, continuing to tap whenever he seemed uneasy.  He yawned the way some people do after a TFT session.

Later, one of the staff tried her own puppy in the dog run with him. And 30 minutes later, she had both puppies on leads on the grass outside the building! —Jo Cooper

Joanne Callahan recently had the pleasure of appearing on the UNIVERSAL SPIRITUAL CONNECTION blog talk radio show, where she was asked to explain what TFT is and how it is different from EFT… EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) is a version that former student Gary Craig created, a one-size fits all version.

In the audio below, Joanne explains how TFT works and how it has spawned so many variations of tapping therapy.

It’s a great discussion on the history of Thought Field Therapy, how it works and what the differences are between TFT and EFT.

We welcome Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) Practitioners to TFT.
TFT offers advanced EFT Algorithms to help overcome specific challenges!

Join us for the TFT self-help workshop and learn How to Apply the Power of Tapping to Eliminate Stress, Fear, Anxieties, and Identify and Overcome Your Blocks to Achieving Better Health.

Tapping Therapy for Health Workshop

In response to the large number of requests from people around the world who ask us how they can put the full power of Thought Field Therapy® into effect in their daily lives, we have created a new 2-day live workshop.

Our new live event–Tapping Into Health–will teach you how to combine the TFT tapping algorithms, or tapping sequences, for optimum results in you life.

The workshop will be throughout the year, where you’ll learn:

  • 30+ years of powerful TFT algorithms
  • 35+ of our proven powerful tapping sequences for improving your quality of life.
  • How to combine sequences for optimum results in your own life
  • Objective self-testing of self-sabotage and blocks to healing and success
    – where you’ll learn to identify and correct all of your blocks to well-being.

You’ll also get a Tapping Into Health Guide that you’ll be able to keep as a reference the techniques and tapping sequences for almost any challenge you’ll face.

In this special workshop for anyone wanting to learn TFT in-depth, we’ll even be sharing the self-testing and identification of toxins, as well as the neutralization protocols –previously only available to our advanced level TFT practitioners.

Band of focus

I am thrilled and honored to have learned about Thought Field Therapy. The TFT teleclass is one of the best training experiences and investments I have ever made.

The teleclass provided fantastic insight and guidance into the TFT algorithms and usage. I highly recommend everyone learn TFT and put it too good use. TFT can do wonders for you. Now, perhaps you are wondering why I am so excited about Thought Field Therapy. I hope that after reading about my situation and the help TFT has given me, you too will give it a try.

In January 2005 I went sledding down my street. Part way down the steep hill the snow become solid ice. I was unable to steer or stop and slid head first into the bumper of a parked mini-van. I suffered such a bad head injury that I barely made it to the hospital alive. If it took 20 minutes longer, it would have been too late. I was put into a medical coma for 10 days and have a two month period that I do not remember anything from.

With great medical care, support from my family, and post-hospital rehabilitation I finally returned to full time work after 8 months. I am nearly fully recovered other than I had lost 100% of my sense of smell. Medical professionals told me that the loss of smell is not an unusual occurrence after the type of brain injury I had. I was informed that I would never recover my sense of smell.

For five years, it was correct. I did not smell anything. However, in January 2010 I took the TFT teleclass and was given a customized Thought Field Therapy algorithm, from Dr. Roger Callahan, to regain my sense of smell. It is amazing the capability Roger has developed with TFT and Voice Technology. I have used the algorithm (((a, mf, tf, e, g50, eb) 9g) sq) at least 15 times a day for 40 consecutive days (20+ times for 35 of those 40 days).

After the 30th day, I was startled and pleasantly surprised to notice the air all of a sudden seemed different as walked down the indoor hallway near the building cafeteria. It took me a bit to realize I was actually smelling something again. After 5 years, I had sort of forgotten what that was like. In the days since then I have had other occasional instances of smelling things. My sense of smell is not yet 100% back, but I am thrilled to have what I was told could never happen actually occur. TFT has made this possible.

Roger originally explained I would need to follow this 15+ times a day regimen for many weeks. It only takes a minute to execute the algorithm and it can be anytime throughout the day. I gladly and enthusiastically continue applying TFT to further regain my sense of smell. This is much better than five years of thinking I would never smell again. Use TFT it really works. In addition to this more extensive usage, I have also used different TFT algorithms to alleviate other worries and anxieties.

Washington DC Trip, 06/09

I’d like to send a thank-you to you and to Roger for the great work  you both do and for Tapping the Healer Within.

Since I had my kids I’ve not been the best flyer, but on a recent trip to Canada (a long haul – 6 flights in one  week!) I used TFT algorithms to conquer my fears and to avoid jet lag.

I’m so pleased to say I enjoyed each and every flight and was able to admire  the Rockies from my window seat! (I simply wouldn’t have sat there before).

On arrival and on my return I was completely free of jet lag.

I’ve been telling everyone about it since – tweeting  too!

Best to you,
Katie
